Fencers
who finished in the top 8 at last year’s National Finals are
entitled to a bye in the weapon they qualified in. A full
list can be found on the British Fencing Website.
Fencers wishing to claim a bye must enter the regional
event. EVEN IF THE LIMIT HAS BEEN REACHED – THEY DO
NOT NEED TO FENCE. Those fencers who wish to claim
a bye but not fence should send a cheque for £31.00 (£18.00
Eastern Region entry fee and £13.00 BYC entry fee) to the
treasurer (John Ramsay, “Tvedhuse”, Hadleigh Road, Holton St
Mary, Colchester, CO7 6NS) cheques should be made payable to
Eastern Region BFA.
Fencers entering by the online system and claiming a bye who
do not wish to fence in the Regional Championships MUST
indicate this as they may otherwise be occupying a place
that could be given to another fencer.
Those fencers claiming a bye and
wishing to fence should enter in the normal way via the
online entry system.
ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BEFORE THE REGIONAL FINAL – i.e.
NO LATER THAN THURSDAY 25TH MARCH”
